It may sometimes be necessary to wipe your log, this may be because you wish to re-import your log file freshly from another application or start your log again.
Only use this process if you want to completely wipe all your logs in order to start fresh
What You'll Acheive
By the end of this guide, you will have:
- A clean empty log in each of your QSO Director instances
- A clean empty log in the QSO Director cloud
Step 1: Wipe you local logs
Begin by loading QSO Director
From within the QSO Director main window, select the menu option "Tools -> Log Maintenance -> Wipe Log"
You will receive a confirmation message as shown below
Choose "Yes"
You will then receive a further confirmation message asking which logs you would like to clear
Choose "All Stations"
Depending on the size of your log it may take a few moments for the log to clear. Wait until your logbook shows as empty within QSO Director before moving to the next step
Now close down QSO Director
Repeat this step for each computer you have QSO Director installed on
Leave QSO Director unloaded on each machine before moving on to step 2
Step 2: Reset your cloud sync state
Login to your Admin portal at https://app.qso-director.com/
Navigate using the menu on the left to "Account Settings"
You will see an option called "Wipe Cloud Logs"
Click the "Wipe Cloud Logs" button
You will receive a confirmation popup asking you if you would like to wipe all cloud logs. Click "OK".
The process will take a moment so wait until you receive a confirmation similar to the following.
Note that the number of records shown is not the number of QSOs you had in your log
Step 3: Reset cloud sync
Launch QSO Director
Then from the main QSO Director window use the menu option "Tools -> Log Maintenance -> Reset Sync State"
Choose "Yes"
After a short time you will receive the following confirmation.
Restart QSO Director.
Repeat this step for each computer you have QSO Director installed on.
Step 4: Your logs are now clear
Your logs are now clear and you can begin entering QSOs or importing log files.
If you are using cloud sync to keep multiple instances of QSO Director in sync with each other, only import your log files into a single computer, cloud sync will take care of updating your other installations. Importing the same logs into multiple computers can lead to duplicated logs.
