Release Notes: 0.5.0-beta
March 19, 2026
I’m excited to announce that QSO Director, a new software platform for amateur radio operators, has officially entered Early Access and is now available to purchase.
This is a huge milestone for me. Over the past months and yeaers, I’ve worked hard to design and build a modern, reliable tool tailored for the needs of today’s radio amateurs. From early concepts through to a functional release, a lot of care and effort has gone into creating a solid foundation—and I’m proud to finally share it with you.
Available Today: Logging, Done Right
At launch, QSO Director provides a powerful and intuitive logging experience, giving operators a dependable way to record and manage their QSOs. Whether you’re operating casually or more seriously, the current feature set is designed to be clean, efficient, and ready to use.
What Early Access Means
Early Access marks the beginning—not the end—of development.
While QSO Director is already a capable logging solution, this phase allows me to expand and refine the platform with input from real users. Your feedback will directly influence how the software evolves.
What’s Coming Next
QSO Director is being built as a comprehensive amateur radio platform, and I have an ambitious roadmap ahead. Over the coming months and beyond, I’ll be introducing a range of exciting new features, including:
- Contest Support for streamlined contest operation
- Activation Support for portable and field activities (e.g. POTA, SOTA)
- Net Management Tools to help coordinate and run nets efficiently
- Advanced QSO Management features for organizing and tracking contacts
- Analytics & Insights to better understand your operating activity
And that’s just the beginning.
Built for the Future
My goal is to create a unified platform that brings together all aspects of amateur radio operation into one cohesive experience. Early Access allows me to build that future alongside the community, ensuring that QSO Director grows into a tool that truly meets operators’ needs.
Join Us on the Journey
By joining QSO Director in Early Access, you’re not just buying software—you’re helping shape its future. Your feedback, ideas, and real-world use will play a vital role in what comes next.
I’m incredibly grateful for your support and excited for the journey ahead.
Let’s build the future of amateur radio software — together.
